Who are we?

In 2019, after several trips to Dolpo in north-western Nepal, we founded the DolpoCare association.

DolpoCare's mission is to improve healthcare in Dolpo. To this end, we finance the training of doctors and healthcare professionals from the region, who in return commit to practicing in Dolpo after successfully completing their training.

The association, which is run exclusively by volunteers, is registered in the commercial register of the Canton of Zurich with the number CHE-327.396.034. We board members bear all the expenses for the regular on-site visits and meetings with the supported students and our contact persons in Nepal ourselves. All the money we raise for individual projects goes entirely towards the association's defined goal: improving healthcare in Dolpo. However, external fees such as for the website, bank account management or commercial register must be paid by the association.
